Acerola - a source of natural vitamin C
Acerola, called the cherry of Barbados, native to Central America and the Caribbean. The favorable climate also allows its cultivation in South America, the United States, Australia and some parts of Asia and Africa. Acerola fruit is delicate and easily perishable, thus produced from these juices that can be processed into dry powder. Due to the high content of Vitamin C, the acerola extract is a component of multiple vitamin supplements.
